Mirror Stained Rectangle - Macrocarpa 520mm x 450mm

This  artisan mirror was milled from Macrocarpa trees grown as dairy shelter belts at Puhi Puhi, Northland .The trees were removed after Macrocarpa foliage was found to cause cows to abort their calves. Some of the trees were 2.5m in diameter. All lumber was milled with an Alaskan mill. No screws or nails  were used in the crafting of this mirror. This hand crafted mirror was finished with Californian Orange Oil and sealed with Teak Wax

This one off hand crafted NZ made  mirror is another piece of functional art made in Pauls artisan workshop in Waipu,  Northland.
