Tall stool Macrocarpa Giraffe stool Top 520mm x 290mm .......550mm tall

This stool was based on a stool that was used a lot in the second world war as it has a multitude of uses .

 This stool has a cypress top which was  milled  from a large Cypress tree blown over  in a storm on my Dads property at Vinegar hill Northland.

The legs are made from Totara saplings  that grow  wild from seeds  continually dropping on to dairy pasture from adjacent bush & sprouting .  Without controlled thinning these saplings would take over the dairy pasture.

No nails or screws were used to manufacture this stool.  This stool is finished with orange oil and teak wax.
